The Las Vegas Gambler
BLACKJACK
BLACKJACK is without a doubt the most popular casino game played in America.
Despite the popularity of the game, it is surprising to see so many people not taking advantage of the odds to make money on this game.
If played properly, and with a little luck, you can enjoy playing for many hours at the tables in Vegas.
Several items should be understood to gain a better understanding of the game.
I will list some of the facts of the game, (in no particular order because all factors should be in your mind when playing).
- Most casinos play with either a six or eight deck shoe
- In a six deck shoe there are 96 "ten" cards (10, J, Q, K,) and 128 "ten cards in an eight deck shoe.
- Along with the ten cards, there are 24 Aces in a six deck shoe and 32 Aces in an eight deck shoe
- In most casinos, the dealer
MUST hit any 16 and stay on all 17s.
- The object of the game is NOT to see how close to 21 you can get!!The object of the game is to
BEAT the DEALER!!!
- Always "split" Aces and Eights.
- Always "Double Down" on Eleven.
- If the dealer has any card UNDER A SEVEN showing, NEVER hit if you have any total higher than 13.
- An exception is; if you have a "soft" 17 (that is an ace and a six) Always hit a "soft 17.
- When all else fails, use a crib card that can be purchased at any of the casino gift shops for under $2.00.
- Or you can copy my crib sheet which can be found at our:
TABLES and VALUESpage.
and use it on your next trip to Las Vegas
